Makes 🢒 Chevrolet 🢒 2006 🢒 SSR 🢒 Body 🢒 Body Rear End 🢒 Rear Compartment Lid Release Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Open the rear compartment lid.
  2. Lower the endgate.
  3. Remove the rear compartment lid. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Replacement .
  4. Remove the cargo box cover hinge bracket. Refer to Cargo Box Cover Hinge Bracket Replacement .

    5. Object Number: 1273212 Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the rear compartment lid switch.

    6. Object Number: 1273214 Size: SH
  6. Using a flat-bladed tool, remove the rear compartment lid switch from the rear compartment lid hinge bracket.
  7. Remove the rear compartment lid switch from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1273214 Size: SH
  1. Insert the rear compartment lid switch firmly into the rear compartment lid hinge bracket.

    2. Object Number: 1273212 Size: SH
  2. Connect the electrical connector to the rear compartment lid switch.
  3. Install the cargo box cover hinge bracket to the vehicle. Refer to Cargo Box Cover Hinge Bracket Replacement .
  4. Install the rear compartment lid. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Replacement .
  5. Close the endgate.
  6. Close the rear compartment lid.
