Radio Volume Compensator Interior Noise Microphone Replacement for Chevrolet SSR 2006

1. Remove the left knee bolster. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
2. Remove the right knee bolster. Refer to Passenger Knee Bolster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.



3. Disconnect the electrical connector.
4. Remove the screws securing the microphone to the knee bolster.
5. Remove the microphone.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.




1. Locate the microphone to the knee bolster.
2. Install the screws securing the microphone to the knee bolster.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

3. Connect the electrical connector.
4. Install the right knee bolster. Refer to Passenger Knee Bolster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
5. Install the left knee bolster. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
