Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front seat assembly from the vehicle. Refer to Seat Replacement .
  2. Remove the front finish panel. Refer to Front Seat Front Finish Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the seat cushion outer trim panel. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement .

  5. Remove the J-Strip (1) securing the rear of the seat cushion cover to the frame.

  6. Object Number: 1293229  Size: SH
  7. Remove the push pins (2) securing the seat cover to the frame.

  8. Object Number: 1200371  Size: SH
  9. Remove the seat belt buckle bolt (2).
  10. Disconnect the black electrical connector from the seat belt buckle.
  11. Pull the seat belt buckle harness back through the hole in the seat adjuster assembly.
  12. Remove the seat belt buckle assembly by pulling it out through the slot in the seat cushion cover.
  13. Disconnect the electrical connector from the seat back harness.
  14. Disconnect the lumbar electrical connector, if equipped.
  15. Remove the harness clip securing the SIR harness to the seat adjuster.
  16. Disconnect the seat back heating element electrical connector, if equipped.

  18. Remove the seat adjuster cable (1) from the seat adjuster.
  19. Remove the cable end from the seat adjuster (2) by removing the ball though the round opening.

  21. Remove the 2 bolts securing the recliner assembly to each side of the seat.
  22. Remove the seat cushion cover and pad. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement .

  24. Remove the 4 nuts that secure the seat cushion frame to the power seat adjuster frame.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1200433  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the 4 nuts that secure the seat cushion frame to the power seat adjuster frame.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the seat cushion frame mounting nuts to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).

  3. Install the seat cushion cover and pad. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement .

  5. Install the 2 bolts securing the recliner assembly to each side of the seat.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the seat recliner mounting bolts to 26 N·m (19 lb ft).

  7. Install the harness clip securing the SIR harness to the seat adjuster.
  8. Connect the lumbar electrical connector, if equipped.
  9. Connect the electrical connector to the seat back harness.
  10. Connect the seat back heating element electrical connector, if equipped.

  12. Install the cable end from the seat adjuster (2) by inserting the ball though the round opening.
  13. Install the seat adjuster cable (1) to the seat adjuster.
  14. Install the seat belt buckle assembly through the slot in the seat cushion cover.

  15. Object Number: 1200371  Size: SH
  16. Install the seat belt buckle to the seat with the bolt (2).
  17. Tighten
    Tighten the seat belt buckle bolt to 55 N·m (41 lb ft).

  18. Run the seat belt buckle electrical harness through the seat adjuster.
  19. Connect the electrical connector to the seat belt buckle.

  21. Install the rear seat cover flaps to the frame with the push pins (2).

  22. Object Number: 1200364  Size: SH
  23. Install the J-Strip (1) on the rear of the seat cover to the frame.
  24. Install the seat cushion outer trim panel. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement .
  25. Install the front finish panel. Refer to Front Seat Front Finish Panel Replacement .
  26. Install the front seat assembly to the vehicle. Refer to Seat Replacement .
