Preliminary Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
2. Remove the rear tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
95 N·m (70 lb ft)

Tighten
53 N·m (39 lb ft)

Tip
Use an open end wrench to hold the stud while torquing to specifications.
