The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Some owners may comment of a creak or squeak type noise coming from the center of the dash, or center floor area when entering and/or exiting the vehicle. The noise may also occur when driving at slow parking lot speeds and making stop and go maneuvers. This noise could be caused by the EVAP Vent Solenoid Filter being mis-positioned and contacting the floor pan, located on the passenger side of the transmission.

To correct this concern reposition the EVAP Vent Solenoid Filter as shown below so it will not contact the floor pan.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
