Front Axle Vent Hose Connector Replacement for Chevrolet Silverado - 4WD 2008

1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
2. Remove the engine shield, if equipped. Refer to Engine Shield Replacement .
3. Remove the vent hose (1).
4. Remove the vent hose connector (2).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.




1. Install the vent hose connector (2). Apply a small amount of sealer GM P/N 12346004 (Canadian P/N 10953480) or equivalent to the threads.

Tighten
Tighten the vent connector to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

2. Install the vent hose (1).
3. Install the engine shield, if equipped. Refer to Engine Shield Replacement .
4. Lower the vehicle.
