Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 869731 Size: SH
  1. Remove the air cleaner outlet resonator. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Resonator Replacement.
  2. Remove the rocker arm cover bolts.
  3. Remove and discard the rocker arm cover bolt grommets, if necessary.
  4. Remove the rocker arm cover.

    5. Object Number: 328573 Size: SH
  5. Remove and discard the rocker arm cover gasket.
  6. Clean and inspect the rocker arm cover, if necessary. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm Cover Cleaning and Inspection.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 328573 Size: SH

    Note: Do not reuse the cover gasket or the valve rocker arm cover bolt grommets.

  1. Install a NEW rocker arm cover gasket.
  2. Install NEW rocker arm cover bolt grommets, if necessary.

    3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Install the rocker arm cover.
  4. Install the rocker arm cover bolts.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 12 N·m (106 lb in).

  5. Install the air cleaner outlet resonator. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Resonator Replacement.
