Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1690209 Size: SH
  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  2. Remove the engine shield, if equipped. Refer to Engine Shield Replacement.
  3. Remove the vent hose (1).
  4. Remove the vent hose connector (2).

Installation Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1690209 Size: SH
  1. Install the vent hose connector (2). Apply a small amount of sealer GM P/N 12346004 (Canadian P/N 10953480) or equivalent to the threads.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the vent connector to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  2. Install the vent hose (1).
  3. Install the engine shield, if equipped. Refer to Engine Shield Replacement.
  4. Lower the vehicle.
