Front Side Door Inside Handle Seal

Procedure

1. Rotate the front side door Inside release handle to full open position.
2. Use a small pair of 45 degree needle nose pliers to remove the foam seal at the handle to expose the retaining clip.
3. Use a small pair of 45 degree needle nose pliers to release the clip inside the handle.
4. Remove the pin after the clip is released.

Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove door upper trim panel. Refer to Upper Extension Trim Panel Replacement.
2. Remove door window control switch. Refer to Door Lock and Side Window Switch Replacement - Driver Side and Door Lock and Side Window Switch Replacement - Passenger Side.
3. Remove door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement.

Front Side Door Inside Handle Bolt (Qty: 2)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
2 N·m (18 lb in)

Front Side Door Inside Handle Assembly

Tip

1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
2. If replacing the door handle, transfer heated seat switch to new handle. Refer to Front Seat Heater Switch Replacement.
