Tip Inspect the inner splines for excessive looseness on the rear output shaft. |

Tip Inspect the engagement teeth for chips or excessive wear. |

Tip Inspect the shift fork collar for wear. |

Tip Inspect the pads for wear. |

| Transfer Case Actuator Shaft Gear Teeth
Tip Inspect for chipped teeth, excessively worn gear surfaces, and debris embedded in the root of the teeth. |

| Transfer Case High/Low Shift Fork Pin
Tip Inspect the pin for wear. The component must be replaced if damage is found. Refer to
