Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the trailer hitch draw bar. Refer to Trailer Hitch Replacement.
2. Remove the rear bumper impact bar end caps. Refer to Rear Bumper Impact Bar End Cap Replacement.
3. Remove the bolts and nuts attaching the rear bumper impact bar to the rear bumper impact bar brace. Refer to Rear Bumper Impact Bar Brace Replacement.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
50 N·m (37 lb ft)
