Preliminary Procedures

  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  2. Remove the oil pan skid plate. Refer to Oil Pan Skid Plate Replacement.

Engine Front Crossmember Nut (Qty: 2)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
70 N·m (52 lb ft) plus 110 degrees

Engine Front Crossmember Bolt (Qty: 2)

Procedure

  1. Remove all traces of the original adhesive patch.
  2. Clean the threads of the bolt with denatured alcohol or equivalent and allow to dry.
  3. Apply threadlocker GM P/N 12345493 (Canadian P/N 10953488).

Engine Front Crossmember Nut (Qty: 2)

Tighten
70 N·m (52 lb ft) plus 110 degrees

Engine Front Crossmember Bolt (Qty: 2)

Procedure

  1. Remove all traces of the original adhesive patch.
  2. Clean the threads of the bolt with denatured alcohol or equivalent and allow to dry.
  3. Apply threadlocker GM P/N 12345493 (Canadian P/N 10953488).

Engine Front Crossmember Nut (Qty: 4)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
105 N·m (77 lb ft)

Engine Front Crossmember Bolt (Qty: 4)

Procedure

  1. Remove all traces of the original adhesive patch.
  2. Clean the threads of the bolt with denatured alcohol or equivalent and allow to dry.
  3. Apply threadlocker GM P/N 12345493 (Canadian P/N 10953488).
