Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1223442 Size: SH
  1. Remove the rear seat cushion and the rear seatback.
  2. Pry off the rear window shelf trim panel. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  3. Pry off the rear quarter lower trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Lower Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.

    4. Object Number: 1223388 Size: SH
  4. Remove the bolt (1) on the floor.
  5. Remove the spacer and the fiber washer (2).
  6. Remove the plastic protector on the seat belt anchor.
  7. Pry off the cargo area rear trim panel. Refer to Cargo Area Rear Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.

  8. Open the bolt cap (1) using a flathead screwdriver.
  9. Remove the seat belt upper bolt (4) on the rear quarter upper trim panel.
  10. Remove the plastic washers (3), the spacers and the fiber washer (2).

  11. Remove the seat belt retractor bolt (2).
  12. Remove the fiber washer (1).
  13. Remove the rear seat belt.

Installation Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Seat Belt Replacement Caution in the Preface section.

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  1. Install the rear seat belt with the seat belt retractor bolt (2) and fiber washer (1).

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the seat belt retractor bolt to 30-45 N·m (22-33 lb ft).

  2. Install the plastic washers (3), the spacers and the fiber washer (2).

  3. Install the bolt (4) on the rear quarter upper panel.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the seat belt upper bolt to 30-45 N·m (22-33 lb ft).

  4. Install the cargo area rear trim panel. Refer to Cargo Area Rear Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  5. Install the plastic protector on the seat belt anchor.
  6. Install the spacer and the fiber washer (2).
  7. Install the bolt (1) on the floor.

    8. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt on the floor to 30-45 N·m (22-33 lb ft).

  8. Install the rear quarter lower trim panel. Refer to Rear Quarter Lower Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  9. Install the rear window shelf trim panel. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  10. Install the rear seat cushion and rear seatback.
