Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1547173 Size: SH
  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the wheelhouse splash shield clip and bolt.
  3. Remove the wheelhouse splash shield.

    4. Object Number: 1224796 Size: SH
  4. Remove the fender mounting lower bolt (2) at the base of the fender.
  5. Open the front door. Remove the fender mounting bolt (1) on the windshield pillar.

    6. Object Number: 1224798 Size: SH
  6. Remove the bumper fascia side bolts (1) on the side of the front bumper fascia.
  7. Remove the fender mounting bolt (2) under the fender.

    8. Object Number: 1224800 Size: SH
  8. Lower the vehicle.
  9. Take off the air inlet grille. Remove the fender mounting bolt (1) on the top of the fender.

    10. Object Number: 1224801 Size: SH
  10. Remove the front bumper spacer. Refer to Front Bumper Upper Fascia Replacement in Exterior Trim.
  11. Remove the fender front bolt (1).

    12. Object Number: 1224802 Size: SH
  12. Remove the bolts (1) along the top of the fender.
  13. Remove the fender (2).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1224803 Size: SH
  1. Install the fender.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the bolts (1) along the top of the fender.

    3. Object Number: 1224804 Size: SH
  3. Install the front bumper spacer.
  4. Install the air inlet grille.

    5. Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution in the Preface section.

  5. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  6. Install the bolts under the fender.
  7. Install the screws on the side of the front bumper fascia.
  8. Open the front door and install the bolt on the windshield pillar.
  9. Install the bolt at the base of the fender.
  10. Install the wheelhouse splash shield with the screws.
  11. Lower the vehicle.
