Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1225403 Size: SH
  1. Pry off the front door sill plate. Refer to Front Side Door Sill Plate Replacement in Interior Trim.
  2. Remove the fuel filler door remote handle screws (3).
  3. Disconnect the cable (1).
  4. Remove the fuel filler door remote handle (2).

  5. Pry off the lower center pillar trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  6. Pry off the rear door sill plate. Refer to Rear Side Door Sill Plate Replacement in Interior Trim.
  7. Pry off the cargo area rear trim panel. Refer to Cargo Area Rear Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  8. Remove the lock striker (1) of the fuel filter by turning it rectangularly.

  9. Remove the fuel filler door remote cable retaining strip.
  10. Disconnect the fuel filler door remote cable (1).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1225399 Size: SH
  1. Connect the fuel filler door remote cable to the fuel filler door.
  2. Retain the cable with the strip.

    3. Object Number: 1225394 Size: SH
  3. Install the lock striker of the fuel filler.
  4. Install the cargo area rear trim panel. Refer to Cargo Area Rear Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  5. Install the rear door sill plate. Refer to Rear Side Door Sill Plate Replacement in Interior Trim.
  6. Install the lower center pillar trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.

    7. Object Number: 1225397 Size: SH
  7. Connect the fuel filler door remote cable to the handle.
  8. Install the fuel filler door remote handle with the screws.
  9. Install the front door sill plate. Refer to Front Side Door Sill Plate Replacement in Interior Trim.
