Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1225264 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Open the tail gate.
  3. Pry off the tail gate trim panel. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.
  4. Remove the center high-mounted stop lamp (CHMSL) cover (2) and screws (1).

    5. Object Number: 1225266 Size: SH
  5. Remove the CHMSL screws (1).

    6. Object Number: 1225268 Size: SH
  6. Remove the screw from the bulb socket (1).
  7. Remove the CHMSL (3).
  8. Remove the bulb (2).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1225271 Size: SH
  1. Install the CHMSL bulb.
  2. Install the CHMSL with the screws.
  3. Install the CHMSL cover with the screws.
  4. Install the tail gate trim panel. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
