Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1220781 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the windshield wiper arm. Refer to Windshield Wiper Blade Replacement .
  3. Remove the air inlet grille. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement in Body Front End.
  4. Separate the wiper motor from the wiper linkage.
  5. Remove the wiper linkage ball from the wiper linkage (1).

  6. Disconnect the electrical connector (3).
  7. Remove the bolts (1).

    8. Important: Because the wiper motor link plate is fixed, do not separate the wiper motor from the bracket.

  8. Remove the wiper motor assembly (2).
  9. Remove the wiper motor from the engine compartment.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1220785 Size: SH
  1. Install the wiper motor to the engine compartment with the bolts (1).
  2. Connect the electrical connector.

    3. Object Number: 1220788 Size: SH
  3. Install the wiper linkage to the wiper motor linkage ball (1).

    4. Object Number: 1220789 Size: SH
  4. Install the air inlet grille. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement in Body Front End.
  5. Install the windshield wiper arm. Refer to Windshield Wiper Blade Replacement .
  6. Connect the negative battery cable.
