Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1223299 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

    2. Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Raise and support the vehicle.
  3. Remove the wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  4. Disconnect the front wheel speed sensor electrical connector (1).
  5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the connector holder (2) on the passenger side.

    6. Object Number: 1223301 Size: SH
  6. Disconnect the harness holder (1).

    7. Object Number: 1223304 Size: SH
  7. Remove the bolts (1) and the front wheel speed sensor.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1223306 Size: SH
  1. Install the front wheel speed sensor to the steering knuckle. Secure it with the bolts (1).

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the front wheel speed sensor bolts to 23 N·m (17 lb ft).

  2. Connect the harness holder.
  3. Connect the electrical connector to the connector holder.
  4. Connect the front wheel speed sensor electrical connector.
  5. Install the wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  6. Lower the vehicle.
  7. Connect the negative battery cable.
