Heater Hose Assembly Replacement Inlet

Tools Required

EN 46442 (DW100-020) Spring Clamp Remover/Installer.

Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.

Notice: Refer to Vehicle Lifting and Jacking Notice in the Preface section.




1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Drain the coolant.
3. Remove the air cleaner housing.
4. Raise and support the vehicle.
5. Disconnect the heater inlet hose from the heater module using a hose remover EN 46442  (1).



6. Lower the vehicle.
7. Disconnect the heater inlet hose from the thermostat (1).
8. Remove the heater inlet hoses.

1. Connect the hose to the thermostat (1).
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Connect the heater inlet hose to the heater module using a hose installer EN 46442 .



4. Install the heater inlet hoses (1).
5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Install the air cleaner housing.
7. Refill the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling in Engine Cooling.
8. Connect the negative battery cable.

Heater Hose Assembly Replacement Outlet

EN 46442 (DW100-020) Spring Clamp Remover/Installer

1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Disconnect the heater outlet hose from the heater module (1) using a hose remover EN 46442  (2).
3. Disconnect the B+ terminal from the starter. Refer to Starter Motor Replacement in Engine Electrical.



4. Disconnect the heater hose from the engine (1).
5. Remove the heater outlet hoses.

1. Connect the heater outlet hose to the engine (1).
2. Connect the B+ terminal to the starter. Refer to Starter Motor Replacement in Engine Electrical.



3. Connect the heater outlet hose to the heater module (1) using a hose installer EN 46442  (2).
4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Install the heater outlet hoses.
