Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1220790 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the wiper arm from the tailgate. Refer to Rear Window Wiper Arm Replacement .
  3. Remove the tailgate inside trim. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector (1).
  5. Remove the rear wiper motor assembly screws (3).

    6. Important: Because the wiper motor link plate is fixed, do not separate the wiper motor from the bracket.

  6. Remove the rear wiper motor assembly (2).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1220793 Size: SH
  1. Install the wiper motor assembly to the tailgate with the screws.
  2. Connect the electrical connector.
  3. Install the tailgate inside trim. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.
  4. Install the wiper arm. Refer to Rear Window Wiper Arm Replacement .
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
