Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1240899 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

    2. Important: Note the ignition wire location and disconnect the ignition wires from the electronic ignition (EI) system ignition coil.

  2. Disconnect the EI system ignition coil connector.
  3. Remove the EI system ignition coil retaining bolts.
  4. Remove the EI system ignition coil.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1240899 Size: SH
  1. Install the EI system ignition coil.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the EI system ignition coil.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the EI system ignition coil to 8-12 N·m (71-106 lb in).

  3. Install the EI system ignition coil retaining bolts.
  4. Connect the EI system ignition coil connector.
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
