Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1220740 Size: SH
  1. Open the tailgate and suitably support it.
  2. Remove the rear body end fitting nut from the ball studs (2).
  3. Remove the tailgate end fitting nut from the ball studs (1).
  4. Remove the tailgate strut assembly.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1220741 Size: SH
  1. Install the tailgate end fitting nut to the ball studs.
  2. Install the rear body end fitting nut to the ball studs.
  3. Install the tailgate strut assembly.
