Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1282317 Size: SH
  1. Remove the wheels. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .

    2. Caution: Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Remove the fittings (1) from the brake hose.
  3. Remove the E-rings (2).
  4. Plug the opening in the brake pipe to prevent fluid loss or contamination.
  5. Remove the brake hose.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1282318 Size: SH
  1. Connect the brake lines to the brake hose.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the fittings (1) and E-rings.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the fitting to 16 N·m (12 lb ft).

    Important: Use only General Motors recommended brake fluid.

  3. Bleed the brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding .
  4. Inspect the brake system for leaks.
  5. Install the wheels. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
