Removal Procedure

  1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  3. Remove the A/C refrigerant suction hose pipe nuts.
  4. Disconnect the A/C pressure sensor.
  5. Remove the A/C liquid evaporative pipe and A/C refrigerant suction hose support clamp.
  6. Remove the A/C refrigerant suction hose to compressor connector block retaining nut.
  7. Remove the A/C refrigerant suction hose to condenser connector block retaining nut.
  8. Remove the A/C refrigerant suction hose.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the A/C refrigerant suction hose.
  2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the A/C refrigerant suction hose to condenser connector block retaining nut.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 22.5 N·m (16.5 lb ft).

  5. Install the A/C refrigerant suction hose to compressor connector block retaining nut.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 22.5 N·m (16.5 lb ft).

  7. Install the A/C liquid evaporative pipe and A/C refrigerant suction hose support clamp.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the clamp to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

  9. Connect the A/C pressure sensor.
  10. Install the A/C refrigerant suction hose pipe nuts.
  11. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 14 N·m (124 lb in).

  12. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  13. Recharge the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
