Removal Procedure
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the engine protection shield. Refer to Engine Protection Shield Replacement .

    3. Object Number: 1630034 Size: SH
  3. Remove the front under longitudinal frame bolts (1, 2).

    4. Object Number: 1630085 Size: SH
  4. Remove the stabilizer shaft mounting bolts (2).
  5. Remove the stabilizer shaft mounting nuts (1).
  6. Remove the front under longitudinal frames.

    7. Object Number: 1630807 Size: SH
  7. Remove the clips from the lower part of the front bumper fascia.
  8. Place the support jack under the crossmember.
  9. Remove the bumper fascia screws.

    10. Object Number: 1630861 Size: SH
  10. Remove the rear bolts (1).
  11. Remove the side bolts (2).
  12. Lower the support jack and remove the crossmember from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure
  1. Raise the crossmember with the support jack.
  2. Position the crossmember in the vehicle.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1630861 Size: SH
  3. Install the crossmember right rear bolts (1).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the crossmember bolts to 22 N·m (16 lb ft).

  4. Install the crossmember right side bolt (2).

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the crossmember bolt to 22 N·m (16 lb ft).

  5. Install the crossmember left rear bolts.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the crossmember bolts to 22 N·m (16 lb ft).

  6. Install the crossmember left side bolt.

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the crossmember bolt to 22 N·m (16 lb ft).

  7. Install the bumper fascia screws.
  8. Install the bumper fascia clips.
  9. Install the front under longitudinal frames to the vehicle.

    10. Object Number: 1630085 Size: SH
  10. Install the stabilizer shaft mounting nuts (1).

    11. Tighten
    Tighten the stabilizer shaft mounting nuts to 40 N·m (30 lb ft).

  11. Install the stabilizer shaft mounting bolts (2).

    12. Tighten
    Tighten the stabilizer shaft mounting bolts to 40 N·m (30 lb ft).

  12. Install the front under longitudinal frame bolts (1, 2).

    13. Tighten
    Tighten the front under longitudinal frame bolts to 70 N·m (52 lb ft).

  13. Install the engine protection shield. Refer to Engine Protection Shield Replacement .
  14. Lower the vehicle.
