Removal Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fuel Pressure Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1225053 Size: SH
  1. Relieve the fuel system pressure after removing the fuel pump assembly. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief .

    2. Object Number: 1225069 Size: SH
  2. Remove the retainer from the fuel pump assembly (1).
  3. Remove the fuel pressure regulator (2) from the fuel pump.
  4. Check the O-ring seals for damage or a rip.
  5. Use a vacuum gage to check the diaphragm for damage and the spring for operation.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1225053 Size: SH

    Important: Do not reuse the removed O-ring seals. Replace the removed O-ring seals with the new ones.

  1. Install the fuel pressure regulator (2).
  2. Install the retainer to the fuel pump assembly (1).
  3. Install the fuel pump assembly.
