Removal Procedure

    Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1348546 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the drainage plug to drain the AT fluid.
  3. Remove the oil pan.
  4. Remove the connector from the solenoid.
  5. Remove the ATF temperature sensor (1) bolt.

    6. Note: Since AT fluid remains inside the assembly, place a drain pan under the transmission when removing the oil pan.

  6. Remove the filter (5).
  7. Remove the valve body assembly and shift solenoid.

Installation Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1348546 Size: SH
  1. Install the valve body assembly and the shift solenoid.
    2. • Tighten the shift solenoid bolt to 8 N·m (71 lb in).
    • Tighten the valve body bolts to 8 N·m (71 lb in).
  2. Install the filter (5) and tighten to 8 N·m (71 lb in).
  3. Install the ATF temperature sensor (1) and bolt and tighten to 8 N·m (71 lb in.
  4. Install the solenoid connector.
  5. Install the oil pan and tighten to 13 N·m (115 lb in).
  6. Install the drain plug and tighten to 44 N·m (32 lb ft).
  7. Refill the transmission. Refer to Transmission Fluid Draining.
  8. Connect the negative battery cable.
