Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the negative battery cable, if equipped with the central door lock system.
- Remove the seal trim. Refer to Door Water Deflector Replacement.
- Disconnect the outside door handle rod (1) from the door lock.
- Remove the front door lock screws (2).
- Remove the front door lock (1).
- Disconnect the actuator connector, if equipped with the central door lock system.
Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning in the Preface section.
Installation Procedure
- Install the front door lock (1) with screws (2) and tighten to 8 N·m (71 in lb).
- Connect the actuator connector, if equipped with the central door lock system.
- Connect the outside door handle rod (1) and the key rod to the door lock.
- Install the seal trim. Refer to Door Water Deflector Replacement.
- Connect the negative battery cable, if equipped with the central door lock system.
