Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Brake Caliper Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1224699 Size: SH
  1. Remove the front wheels. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
  2. Remove the brake pad pin bolt (1).

    3. Object Number: 1224703 Size: SH
  3. Lift the cylinder assembly (1).

    4. Warning: Refer to Brake Dust Warning in the Preface section.

  4. Remove the brake pads.

Installation Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1224705 Size: SH
  1. Install the brake pads and the cylinder assembly with the pin bolt (1) and tighten to 26 N·m (19 lb ft).
  2. Install the front wheels. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
