Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the parking brake lever cover. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement.

    2. Object Number: 1223394 Size: SH
  2. Remove the parking brake cable cover screw (1).
  3. Remove the parking brake cable cover (2).

    4. Object Number: 1615121 Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the brake warning lamp switch (1).

    5. Note: Ensure the parking brake lever is in a fixed position.

  5. Remove the brake warning switch lamp screw (2).

    6. Object Number: 1224829 Size: SH
  6. Remove the park brake lever bolts (2) and nut (1).

    7. Object Number: 1616097 Size: SH
  7. Remove the park brake lever cotter pin and remove the pin.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1616097 Size: SH
  1. Install the park brake lever.
  2. Install the pin.
  3. Install the cotter pin.

    4. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1224831 Size: SH
  4. Install the parking brake lever nut (1) and bolts (2).
    5. • Tighten the parking brake nut to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
    • Tighten the parking brake bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
  5. Connect the brake warning lamp switch.
  6. Install the brake warning lamp switch screw.

  7. Install the parking brake cable cover.
  8. Install the parking brake cable cover screw.
  9. Install the parking brake lever cover. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement.
