Removal Procedure

    Warning: Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Warning in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1282343 Size: SH
  1. Remove the fluid level switch connector. Refer to Brake Proportion Valve Replacement.

    2. Caution: To prevent damage, do not use force when removing the reservoir.

  2. Drain the brake fluid.
  3. Remove the screw (1).
  4. Remove the fluid reservoir using a flat-head screwdriver (2).
  5. Remove the reservoir.

Installation Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1282345 Size: SH

    Note: Use only General Motors recommended brake fluid.

  1. Install the reservoir with the screw and tighten to 4 N·m (35 lb ft).
  2. Install the fluid level switch connector. Refer to Brake Proportion Valve Replacement.
  3. Add brake fluid.
  4. Bleed the brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding.
