Special Tools

1. Remove the gearshift control cable. Refer to Shift Cable Replacement.
2. With DT 47529 (1), remove the spring pin (3) and the select lever assembly (2).



3. Remove the bolt and the shift lever switch (1).

1. Position the select lever assembly to "N".
2. Loosen the shift switch fixing bolt.
3. Fix the select lever assembly inserting a 3 mm (0.12 in) pin (drill) (1) into the location holes of the assembly and the shift switch.
4. Tighten the shift switch bolt and tighten to 3 N·m (26 lb in).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.




1. Install the shift lever switch through the manual shaft, and temporarily tighten the bolt.
2. Embed the select lever assembly in the manual shaft, and punch the spring pin using the DT 47530 (1).



3. Move the select lever assembly to shift into the "N" range.
4. Insert a 3 mm (0.12 in) pin (drill) (1) in the location holes of the shift lever switch and the select lever assembly and tighten to 3 N·m (26 lb in).
5. Install the gear shift control cable. Refer to Shift Cable Replacement.
