Removal Procedure

    Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1224187 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the sun visors. Refer to Sunshade Replacement.
  3. Remove the interior courtesy lamp. Refer to Interior Courtesy Lamp Replacement.
  4. Pry off the windshield pillar garnish molding trim panel. Refer to Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement.
  5. Pry off the upper center pillar trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement.
  6. Pry off the rear quarter upper trim panel. Refer to Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement.
  7. Remove the passenger assist handle and the coat hook. Refer to Assist Handle and Rear Coat Hook Replacement.
  8. Remove the sunroof molding, if equipped. Refer to Sunroof Replacement.
  9. Take off the tailgate opening weatherstrip. Refer to Cargo Area Rear Trim Panel Replacement.
  10. Remove the headliner clips (1) and the headliner (2).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the headliner and clips.
  2. Install the tailgate opening weatherstrip. Refer to Cargo Area Rear Trim Panel Replacement.
  3. Install the sunroof molding, if equipped. Refer to Sunroof Replacement.
  4. Install the passenger assist handle and the coat hook. Refer to Assist Handle and Rear Coat Hook Replacement.
  5. Install the rear quarter upper trim panel. Refer to Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement.
  6. Install the upper center pillar trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement.
  7. Install the windshield pillar garnish molding trim panel. Refer to Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement.
  8. Install the interior courtesy lamp. Refer to Interior Courtesy Lamp Replacement.
  9. Install the sun visors. Refer to Sunshade Replacement.
  10. Connect the negative battery cable.
