Removal Procedure

    Warning: Refer to Hood Hold-Open Device Warning in the Preface section.

  1. Remove the hood. Refer to Hood Replacement.
  2. Remove the air inlet grille. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement.

    3. Object Number: 1613470 Size: SH
  3. Remove the bolts on the top of the fender.

    4. Object Number: 1224776 Size: SH
  4. Remove the hood hinge bolts (1).
  5. Remove the hood hinge (2).

Installation Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1224776 Size: SH
  1. Install the hood hinge (2) with the bolts (1) and tighten to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

    2. Object Number: 1613470 Size: SH
  2. Install the bolts along the top of the fender and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
  3. Install the air inlet grille. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement.
  4. Install the hood. Refer to Hood Replacement.
