Removal Procedure

    Danger: To avoid any vehicle damage, serious personal injury or death when major components are removed from the vehicle and the vehicle is supported by a hoist, support the vehicle with jack stands at the opposite end from which the components are being removed and strap the vehicle to the hoist.

  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  2. Remove the fender liner. Refer to Fender Liner Replacement.

  3. Remove the fender mounting lower bolt (2) at the base of the fender.
  4. Open the front door. Remove the fender mounting bolt (1) on the windshield pillar.

    5. Object Number: 1613458 Size: SH
  5. Remove the bumper fascia side bolts (1) on the side of the front bumper fascia.
  6. Remove the fender mounting bolt (2) under the fender.

    7. Object Number: 1613466 Size: SH
  7. Lower the vehicle.
  8. Remove the air inlet grille. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement.
  9. Remove the mounting bolts on top of the fender.

    10. Object Number: 1613470 Size: SH
  10. Remove the bolts along the top of the fender.
  11. Remove the fender.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1613470 Size: SH
  1. Install the fender and align.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the bolts along the top of the fender and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb ft).

    3. Object Number: 1613466 Size: SH
  3. Install the upper fender mounting bolts and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb ft).
  4. Install the air inlet grille. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement.

    5. Danger: To avoid any vehicle damage, serious personal injury or death when major components are removed from the vehicle and the vehicle is supported by a hoist, support the vehicle with jack stands at the opposite end from which the components are being removed and strap the vehicle to the hoist.

  5. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.

    6. Object Number: 1613458 Size: SH
  6. Install the bolt (2) under the fender and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb ft).
  7. Install the bolts (1) on the side of the front bumper fascia and tighten to 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).

    8. Object Number: 1613453 Size: SH
  8. Open the front door and install the bolt (1) on the windshield pillar. Tighten the bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb ft).
  9. Install the bolt (2) at the base of the fender and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb ft).
  10. Install the fender liner. Refer to Fender Liner Replacement.
  11. Lower the vehicle.
