Exhaust Manifold Installation Euro III

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.




1. Install the exhaust manifold to the pup-up catalytic converter and tighten to 25-35 N·m (18-25 lb ft).



2. Install the exhaust manifold to the cylinder head and tighten the bolts and nuts to 17-27 N·m (13-20 lb ft).



3. Install the exhaust pipe to the pup-up catalytic converter and tighten the nuts to 25-35 N·m (18-25 lb ft).



4. Install exhaust manifold heat shield and tighten the bolts to 8-12 N·m (18-25 lb ft).
5. Connect the ignition wires and oxygen sensor connector.
6. Install the air filter, resonator, and snorkel assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement.

1. Install the 7 exhaust manifold nuts and bolts and torque in the sequence shown. Tighten the exhaust manifold nuts and bolts to 17-27 N·m (13-20 lb ft) and the exhaust manifold heat shield to 8-12 N·m (71-106 lb in).



2. Install the front exhaust manifold pipe nuts and tighten to 25-35 N·m (18-25 lb ft).
