Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 293491 Size: SH
  1. Remove the flange nuts from the front pipe flange studs.
  2. Remove the flange nuts that secure the front pipe to the turbocharger exhaust pipe.
  3. Remove the front exhaust pipe.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 293491 Size: SH
  1. Insert the front pipe flange studs into the exhaust pipe flange in order to install the front exhaust pipe.

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the flange nuts that secure the front pipe to the turbocharger exhaust pipe.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the turbocharger exhaust pipe flange nuts to 65 N·m (48 lb ft).

  3. Install the flange nuts onto the front pipe flange studs.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the front pipe flange studs to 65 N·m (48 lb ft).
