Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 293546 Size: SH

    Important: If the cable is broken, release the hood. Use a rod in order to press the primary latch tab on the lock assembly.

  1. Remove the cable (2) from the primary latch (1) by inserting a screwdriver into the clip and lifting the cable from the lock.

    2. Object Number: 293547 Size: SH
  2. Pry the cable grommet (4) from the lock flange.
  3. Remove the upper radiator grille screws.
  4. Remove the cable from the radiator support by moving the grille forward.
  5. Remove the cable from the retaining clips (3).
  6. Remove the bolts that retain the hood release cable from under the instrument panel inside the cab.

  7. Remove the cable from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the cable into the vehicle.

    2. Object Number: 293548 Size: SH
  2. Push the cable and the grommet (4) into engine compartment.
  3. Install the bolts that hold the hood release handle to the bottom of the instrument panel.

    4. Object Number: 293547 Size: SH
  4. Route the cable (2) through the retaining clips (3) and the radiator support.
  5. Install the screws into the upper radiator grille.

    6. Object Number: 293546 Size: SH
  6. Install the cable (2) into the primary latch (1).
