  1. With the Ignition in the RUN position and Park Brake engaged, disconnect the connector at the Park Brake Switch.
  2. Check for voltage at cavity A of the connector. Refer to Measuring Voltage in Wiring Systems.

Is voltage present?

12 volts

Replace the Park Brake Switch. Refer to Parking Brake Indicator Switch Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

  1. Disconnect the Daytime Running Light  (DRL) connector
  2. Check for voltage on pin "E" of the connector. Refer to Measuring Voltage in Wiring Systems.

Is voltage present?

12 volts

Go to Step 6

  1. Connect the connector to the DRL.
  2. Back-probe at pin "A" of the DRL Harness. Refer to Probing Electrical Connectors and Measuring Voltage Drop in Wiring Systems.

Is voltage present?

12 volts

Verify continuity in circuit 33 (TAN/WHT), pin to pin. Refer to Testing for Continuity in Wiring Systems.

Is continuity present?

Repair open in circuit 1134 (PPL/WHT). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the DRL Module. Refer to Daytime Running Lights (DRL) Control Module Replacement in Lighting Systems.

Locate and repair the open in CKT 33 (TAN/WHT) between the DRL Module and the I/C. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
