With the ignition in the RUN position, disconnect the Park Brake Switch connector.

Does the indicator lamp remain lit?

Inspect for a short to ground in CKT 1134 (PPL/WHT) Refer to Testing for Short to Ground in Wiring Systems.

Was a short to ground found?

Disconnect the Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) Module connector

Replace the Park Brake Switch. Refer to Parking Brake Indicator Switch Replacement .

Locate and repair the short to ground in CKT 33 (TAN/WHT) between the Instrument Panel Cluster and the DRL Module. Refer to Testing for Short to Ground and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Locate and repair the short to ground in CKT 1134 between the DRL Module and the Park Brake Switch. Refer to Testing for Short to Ground and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
