    Object Number: 470910 Size: SH
  1. Apply grease to the oil pump drive gear for ease of assembly.
  2. Important: Correct alignment of the oil pump drive and oil pump driveshaft is critical. Make sure both components mate correctly, or engine damage may occur.

  3. Line up the oil pump drive, making sure that the oil pump is fully seated in the engine block.

Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the oil pump, making sure that the oil pump drive is fully seated in the engine block.
  6. Tighten
Tighten the oil pump drive bolt to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
