Clutch Concentric Actuator Cylinder Replacement NV 3500 and NV 4500

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the transmission. Refer to Transmission Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 395628  Size: SH
  3. Remove the 2 bolts securing the actuator cylinder to the clutch housing.
  4. Remove the actuator cylinder from the transmission input shaft.
  5. If required, the bearing can be removed from the actuator cylinder for replacement.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 395628  Size: SH
  1. Position the actuator cylinder to the transmission input shaft.
  2. Ensure that the bleed screw and the coupling are positioned toward the transmission ports.

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Secure the actuator cylinder to the clutch housing with 2 bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 8 N·m (71 lb in).

  5. Install the transmission. Refer to Transmission Replacement .

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the transmission. Refer to Transmission Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 689675  Size: SH
  3. Remove the 2 bolts securing the actuator cylinder to the clutch housing.
  4. Quick disconnect the hydraulic line from the concentric slave cylinder.
  5. Remove the actuator cylinder from the transmission input shaft.
  6. If required, the bearing can be removed from the actuator cylinder for replacement.

Installation Procedure

  1. Position the actuator cylinder to the transmission input shaft.
  2. Quick connect the hydraulic line to the concentric slave cylinder.
