Test Description

The number(s) below refer to the step number(s) on the diagnostic table.

  1. The window lockout switch is found on vehicles equipped with 4 power windows. This switch completes or interrupts the ground circuit to all the passengers power window switches. Therefore it is imperative that the switch be placed in the OFF position before continuing with the diagnostic table.

  2. The master switch has one common ground circuit for the left front power window and the passenger door power window switches. If the left front window operates, it can be presumed that the master switch ground circuit is good.
