Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the sunroof finishing lace. Refer to Sunroof Opening Trim Finish Lace Replacement .
  2. Remove the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.

  3. Object Number: 582982  Size: SH
  4. Remove the drain hoses. Refer to Sunroof Housing Front Drain Hose Replacement and Sunroof Housing Rear Drain Hose Replacement .
  5. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  6. Remove the 9 bolts retaining sunroof module.
  7. Remove the module from vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the module to the vehicle.

  2. Object Number: 730181  Size: SH
  3. Loosely install the 9 bolts retaining the module to the roof.
  4. Use a drill bit to align the 2 holes (6 and 7).
  5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Tighten the 9 bolts.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the 9 bolts in the sequence shown to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  8. Connect the electrical connectors.
  9. Install the drain hoses. Refer to Sunroof Housing Front Drain Hose Replacement and Sunroof Housing Rear Drain Hose Replacement .
  10. Install the headliner. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  11. Install the finishing lace. Refer to Sunroof Opening Trim Finish Lace Replacement .
  12. Synchronize the sunroof motor if necessary. Refer to Sunroof Motor Synchronization .
