The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
SERVICE VME
Some customers may comment that their outside rear view mirror (RPO DL3 or DL8) appears to be vibrating at highway speeds. Root cause may be the installation of an air/bug deflector on the hood of the vehicle. Remove the deflector, test drive with the
customer to ensure issue has been corrected. DO NOT replace the mirrors, as any replacement mirror will experience the same condition. Air deflectors alter the air flow pattern that the OSRV mirrors were not designed for and may result in potential mirror glass
vibration.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
