The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
When servicing the liftgate relay on a 2003-2006 Full Size Utilities with RPO (E52), you may be unable to locate the location of the Liftgate Relay in Service Information (SI).
Recommendation/Instructions:
The liftgate relay is located behind the right side B pillar trim at the lower portion of the B pillar. (See Photo Below)
The relay is wrapped with foam insulation tape. (See Photo Below)
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
