The BECM measures the internal hybrid battery resistance across the high voltage (HV) battery string and in pairs. If the internal resistance values are out of range at a given battery temperature, this DTC will set. Higher internal resistance will also increase battery temperature.
• | The ignition is ON. |
• | The 12 V battery voltage is 9-18 V. |
• | Hybrid battery current is -70 to +100 A. |
• | Hybrid battery temperature is -10 to +50°C (14-22°F). |
One of the following conditions exists for 10 minutes:
• | Hybrid battery pack calculated hybrid battery resistance is greater than the value specified in Drive Motor Generator Battery End of Life Resistance. |
• | Hybrid battery resistance is greater than the value specified in Drive Motor Generator Battery End of Life Resistance. |
• | Hybrid battery power is reduced to 0 Kw. |
• | The battery cooling fan turns ON high speed. |
• | The driver information center (DIC) displays the SERVICE HYBRID SYSTEM message. |
DTC P0A80 is a type A DTC.
