The electronic brake control module (EBCM) monitors the internal temperature sensor.
• | Iignition ON. |
• | The ignition voltage is greater than 10 volts. |
The EBCM detects an internal tempature sensor failure.
The temperature sensor value is greater than 284° F for greater than 1 second.
• | The EBCM disables the antilock brake system (ABS), traction control and the vehicle stability enhancement system (VSES) for the duration of the ignition cycle. |
• | A DIC message and/or a warning indicator may be displayed. |
• | The condition for the DTC is no longer present. |
• | The EBCM clears the history DTC when a current DTC is not detected in 40 consecutive drive cycles. |

Important: Diagnose all EBCM system related faults if C0574 goes to history after a 15 minute cool down period. Other faults may cause the circuit board to overheat.
Verify DTC C0574 is not set.
⇒ | If DTC is set, replace the EBCM. |
Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification after completing the diagnostic procedure.
