Procedure

1. Open the hood in order to access and remove the wiper arm assembly.
2. Remove the windshield wiper blade from the windshield wiper arm and transfer to the new wiper arm.

Windshield Washer Arm Finish Cap

Tip
Use a small flat-bladed tool to remove the finish cap.

Windshield Washer Arm Nut

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tip
Hold the wiper blade arm tip to the vertical black bar target mark located at the lower center portion of the windshield wile securing the nut.

Tighten
35 N·m (26 lb ft)

Windshield Washer Arm Hose

Tip
Disconnect the washer hose at the air inlet panel.

Tip
Use the J-39637 Wiper Arm Remover Tool .

Windshield Washer Arm Finish Cap

Tip
Lift the cap from the outside edge and rotate the cap forward in order to expose the wiper arm nut.

Windshield Washer Arm Nut

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tip
Hold the wiper blade arm tip to the vertical black bar target mark located at the lower center portion of the windshield while securing the nut.

Tighten
35 N·m (26 lb ft)

Windshield Wiper Arm Assembly

Procedure

1. Use the J-39637 Wiper Arm Remover Tool .
2. Transfer the wiper blade to the new windshield wiper arm. Refer to Windshield Wiper Blade Replacement.
