Important: The following steps must be completed before using the symptom tables.
• | There are no DTCs set. |
• | The control modules can communicate via the serial data link. |
• | Inspect for aftermarket devices which could affect the operation of the Instrument Cluster or Audible Warning Systems. Refer to Checking Aftermarket Accessories. |
• | Inspect the easily accessible or visible system components for obvious damage or conditions which could cause the symptom. |
• | Inspect for proper fluid level. |
Faulty electrical connections or wiring may be the cause of intermittent conditions. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections.
Refer to a symptom diagnostic procedure from the following list in order to diagnose the symptom:
• | Service Indicator Always On for the MP 3023/3024-NQH transfer case |
• | ABS Indicator Malfunction for the ABS - Hybrid |
• | ABS Indicator Malfunction for the ABS - Non-Hybrid Greater than Equal to 3900 |
• | ABS Indicator Malfunction for the ABS - Non-Hybrid Less than 3900 kg (8600 lb) |
• | StabiliTrak Indicator Malfunction for the ABS - Hybrid |
• | StabiliTrak Indicator Malfunction for the ABS - Non-Hybrid Greater than Equal to 3900 |
• | StabiliTrak Indicator Malfunction for the ABS - Non-Hybrid Less than 3900 kg (8600 lb) |
• | Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) Diagnosis for the 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L, 6.2L, or 7.0L engine |
• | Tow/Haul Switch/Indicator Always On or Inoperative for the 4L60-E/4L65-E/4L70-E automatic transmission |
• | Tow/Haul Switch/Indicator Always On or Inoperative for the 6L50/6L80/6L90 automatic transmission |
